Madeira Paradise Island is the consumer brand of Madeira Friends Enterprise, Lda. — a Funchal-based company (VAT PT518469670) that operates boutique short-term rentals and manages apartments on behalf of owners across central Funchal. Bookings opened in August 2026 from our flagship Funchal City Apartment at Largo do Pelourinho 7, licensed under permit 172524/AL.
We sit alongside two sister projects under the same operator: Madeira Friends — a community network running 800+ events per year for locals, expats, digital nomads, and remote workers on the island — and Madeira Remote, the original coliving brand at Casa do Pico in Funchal. The same Funchal team handles guest support, cleaning, pricing, and property maintenance across all three.
Our positioning is transparent. Prices on the site are pulled live from our channel manager (Beds24), shown clearly to the guest, and charged to the cent by Stripe — no hidden cleaning fees at the door, no city tourist tax in Funchal as of 2026, no extra charges at check-in. All utilities are included in the rate.
